About Us
Rehti Jagrati Mahila Sansthan was formed in 2018 at Rehti in Sehore district of Madhya Pradesh. Though Sehore is just 80 km from the state capital Bhopal, the district suffers from significant development gaps, particularly affecting tribal and rural women.
Approximately 70 per cent population of the district belongs to tribal communities, with around 15,500 families residing in the organization’s operational area. The majority depends on agriculture and climate-sensitive livelihoods, making the region highly vulnerable to environmental changes and resource insecurity.
RJMS is a women-led and women-focused organization committed to empowering rural women. It focuses on strengthening women’s leadership, promoting climate-resilient practices, improving health and nutrition awareness, and facilitating access to sustainable livelihood opportunities.
